Improving Community Mental Health

THE RIGHT TOOLS FOR THE JOB

The CAT-MH® and K-CAT® offer a unique opportunity to empower those most closely connected to their communities to identify mental health disparities.

UNCOVERING NEW APPROACHES

Once mental health disparities are identified, we can work together to uncover new approaches.

SUPPORTING INNOVATIVE IDEAS

Innovative ideas often need support to reach their full potential. We help healthcare organizations to make a difference in their communities.

Our Mission

When it comes to mental health, not everyone has access to the same resources or help when they need it. We collaborate with nonprofits, research entities, and education systems that understand their community’s needs. Each year, we choose several organizations that support diverse communities as part of our ongoing efforts to improve mental health outcomes. With the CAT-MH® and K-CAT®, these organizations can address mental health disparities at scale. We invite you to reach out to us so we can better understand your population’s needs.

COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH ORGANIZATION

With the CAT-MH® and K-CAT®, sexual and gender minority youth patients can be monitored without the patient needing to be in the clinic for testing.

MUNICIPAL FIRE DEPARTMENT

The CAT-MH® is being utilized in a research study looking at suicidality in non-injurious self-harm of firefighters.

CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

The K-CAT® is being administered at care appointments to help clinicians identify underlying issues and better refer the child to specialists, when necessary.

COMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT FACILITY

The CAT-MH® is being utilized in outpatient community mental health facilities due to their ease of use and quick completion times.

COVID FIRST RESPONDER HOTLINE

The CAT-MH® is an innovative tool that allows assessment over the phone. In this case, COVID first responders are being screened by the CAT-MH® to determine appropriate levels of intervention.

PERINATAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

The CAT-MH® has been validated for perinatal populations and is being used extensively in women’s health clinics.

RURAL MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL

The K-CAT® is being utilized by school psychologists to assess youth at the beginning of the year, understand which children require additional support, and monitor progress throughout the year. Where gaps exist, the opportunity to create meaningful services within the school district is created, improving student outcomes.

INDIVIDUAL PROVIDERS

Individual practitioners are using the CAT-MH® and K-CAT® to screen adults and youth both in-person and remotely. Our tools are ideal for stepped care models that rely on symptom severity to determine level of intervention and monitor changing levels over time.
